The Moosehead region has something to offer for everyone. Summer can fill your days with swimming, hiking, fishing, cruising the lake on the historic Katahdin or viewing the countryside on horseback. Try your skill at golf at the beautiful Kineo Island or Squaw Village. If the driving range is your pleasure, the Moosehead region can offer that as well.

Bring your boat along -- we have docking and a public boat launch here in the west cove. If you plan to rent or purchase a boat while vacationing, Moosehead Marina will arrange this for you and deliver it to our dock.

For those who enjoy nature, how about a moose safari or rafting trip, seaplane ride or guided fishing trip. Relax and enjoy the area at a state park or local beach--there's nothing like Moosehead Lake.

The fall foliage adds much beauty to the area for those of you who enjoy leaf peeping. The views are spectacular full of red, yellow and orange leaves. Whether you cruise the lake, drive, or hike, Moosehead Lake area is beautiful this time of year.

The Moose hunt starts off October with a bang! Usually around Columbus Day this event is great even for the spectators waiting to see what's brought in. Hunting in this area for deer, bear, grouse and partridge bring many people to the area. Guides are available or hunt on your own. We offer competitive packages for your meals and room during this season. Rates for the fall are available mid-summer.

When the snow flies it's time to get out your sleds and enjoy the Moosehead groomed trail system that encompasses the lake and outer areas with the most beautiful riding in New England. With ITS 85/86 and 87 right outside our door, you can get there from here. Snowmobile and equipment rentals are available for your convenience if needed.

Ski Squaw Mountain while taking in our winter wonderland, downhill or cross-country skiing, skating, or snow shoeing. We can offer packages to make your equipment affordable.
